T here is a change in the ride schedule for June. The Oregon Caves ride has been shifted to the week of 6/16/12 to 6/24/12. This ride is being planned to cross the Sierra‟s at least once maybe twice, weather permitting. I plan on following parts of the 49er highway into northern California. Sutter‟s Mill is a great historical landmark. Grass Valley, Graeagle and Quincy and then crossing over to the Trinity Alps, for more “twisty” riding. Check out Hwy 36 on Google.
The Oregon Cave National Monument is just over the state line near Cave Junction. The thing is you need to commit to the Oregon Cave ride pretty quickly. The hotel on the property is really cool, Cedar log construction, good dinning and 6 stories tall with a creek running underneath it. The hotel fills up fast, I have been told we need get our reservations in by the beginning of March to be sure. The prices range from $99.00 to $180.00. I will have more information soon.
The Rogue river is just a few “Harley Miles” away and there is river rafting if there is any interest. The north coast of California Coming home down the coast or inland, is still in the planning stages.

I am planning around the 300 mile/day guidelines, leaving time for some exploring and socializing, I hope. I won‟t be able to pre-ride the route but have traveled it before. Last seen the roads are in good shape, not quite the challenge of the last northern California adventure, which by the way you are still talking about. California is an absolutely beautiful state, I highly recom-mend it‟s exploration.

The return trip to the Santa Maria area will be the termination point for this ride.
